When I was little I would apologize for everything. I spent a majority of my time feeling guilty and the other half of it doing things I thought I should feel guilty for. I am not perfect but I like my imperfections. There are things I need to change and I can accept and appreciate that but just because someone sees a trait of yours and doesn’t agree, it doesn’t make it a flaw. I have spent a majority of my time apologizing for being exactly how God made me. I don’t always make great decisions. I am impulsive and irrational. I feel and experience emotion to an overwhelming level but when I feel I am honest and vulnerable. I am flawed and make imperfect decisions but it’s in the ride and in the mistakes that we live and figure things out. I always hated the scrapes and scars I inflicted on my heart and soul but I lived. I have a story and it’s messy but I have learned so much. I don’t want to always be sorry. I am not perfect but Jesus died so I wouldn’t have to spend forever guilty. I am going to spend this next quarter enjoying my life. I am not going to be sorry just because I’m not exactly what people want and I won’t keep presenting excuses for my choices. I am going to live and be excited and full of joy from Christ. I keep apologizing to a world that has no claim on my salvation. I belong to an audience of one and He likes me. I am affirmed and spoken for and I don’t need to spend another day sorry for what I’m not but instead rejoicing in what I am.
